Monday May 16th Marks the beginning of Bike To Work Week which lasts until May 20th. We, of course, encourage you to continue biking to work until you feel a healthy boost in energy and have saved hundreds of dollars in gasoline. Once you get to that point, I’m sure you won’t need any further encouragement to continue cycling your way around whenever possible.

A cool breeze in the recent gust of work has been in collaboration with Schwadesign on a strategic site for a Clemson University civil engineering professor and wind-tunnel researcher. The final project, in all its organic goodness, will be up in the coming weeks.

Last night was AIGA Orlando’s SPOT. The attencance was strong and the engery high.

It was: the 5th year of Spot, the 4th year I’ve attended, 2nd year I’ve directed, and 1st year Citizen Scholar’s participated.

This year’s special guest speaker was Scott Stowell, proprietor of OPEN. Scott and myself: two happy chaps shared car-ride conversations about design, globalization and food.

We’re coming up on this year’s SPOT event again with AIGA Orlando. We’ll be showing samples of work done since the start of the year as part of the professional exhibition. The event also includes a student portfolio review, mentorship program exhibition, and guest speaker Scott Stowell from OPEN.

We hope to see you there!

This morning was a smooth transition over to our new hosting environment. A note to clients, Extranet file access will resume at 12:00 AM tonight.

Move 1
Today we’re moving to a new hosting environment and joining the friendly team at Text Drive. There may be a slight interruption of availability, for which we apologize.

Move 2
At a slightly different scale, Citizen Scholar will be moving to New York, NY. The move became official as I was offered and accepted a spot in the prestigious MFA Design program at the School of Visual Arts. We will continue to pursue projects of social relevance and intend to use the new opportunity, location, and resources to better apply responsible design ideas.
